Blackwell’s Writers at the Edinburgh Fringe, 2013

food-of-ghosts-double-cover-01 On Thursday evening, August 22nd, I will be talking about Food of Ghosts at Blackwell’s Bookshop here in Edinburgh as part of Blackwell’s Writers at The Edinburgh Fringe 2013. In fact, there will be a bunch of us creative folk doing our stuff, so if you like stories and poetry and music and such stuff, why not come along? It’ll be a great night and it’s FREE!  If you can’t make the 22nd, there’s a whole bunch of other wonderful writers also strutting their stuff on the 15th and the 29th (6-8pm).

“Now in its sixth year, Blackwell’s Bookshop is hosting a weekly series of performances as part of our Blackwell’s Writers at the Fringe programme. As new and unpublished works of literary art stand alongside established performers, get ready to experience everything from Scottish poetry to Tartan Noir, from folk music to contemporary fiction. Visit Edinburgh’s oldest bookshop for a snapshot of the best in Scotland’s literary scene! For the full programme visit blackwell.co.uk. “

  1. Wendy Clarke says:

Welcome back from your holidays, Marianne – hope you had a good (relaxing) time. Enjoy your talk at Blackwell’s. 456.3 miles would be rather far for me to travel to it!

  2. I second the welcome back, Marianne. And 456 miles is nothing. Try 16,000 km! 😉

But I would definitely come if the commute wasn’t so long!

    • Awe, thanks, Belinda. It should be a fun evening! And lovely to hear from you. I’m off now to check out your blog to see what you’ve been up to, just as soon as I’ve had a wee peek at Wendy’s:)

  3. Ruth F. Hunt says:

    Hello Marianne,
    Welcome back!
I would love to come to this, not only to see you and the other writers, but also to look around Blackwells. I really miss that store.
Unfortunately, I don’t have transport so will have to miss it. However, I can wish you all the best and hope you have a great time.
