Let me tell you about the creative writing gene … and F.C. Malby

A big thanks to the wonderful writer F.C.Malby for inviting me to be a guest writer on her blog to  write about why I set up the online creative writing school www.writingclasses.co.uk in the post  “Let me tell you about the creative writing gene …”

cropped-auden-header-ii1 F.C.Malby is the author of Let Me Take You To The Castle, which was released in December 2012 and has been nominated for The People’s Book Awards. A short story The Bench was published in March 2013 and her short fiction has been longlisted in The ref=sib_dp_kd New Writer Annual Prose and Poetry Prize.

I have just started reading Let Me Take You To The Castle and am gripped already! It is set in Prague and Letovice and “is a tale of deception, distrust and the need for redemption in the aftermath of a regime in which no one can be trusted, not even someone you thought you knew.” I’ll let you know what I think when I finish but so far so very good 🙂

Meanwhile, do check out Fiona’s blog, it’s full of all sorts of useful information to do with writing and books – oh yes, and I’ve written about why I set up www.writingclasses.co.uk …. http://fcmalby.wordpress.com/

I’ve just bought it so I will read it eventually. I have 2 weeks and a day off from Friday so I may get a lot of reading done in these holidays I hope.
