The Puffin Review is an exciting new review, which exists to do three things: give a voice to new writers and journalists, review exciting new books and interview authors.
Regards writers:
The Puffin Review wants to help writers take those first steps to begin making their name.
We have no limit on subject matter. Send us your delicate haiku poems about moonlight or meaty opinion pieces on welfare reform. You are the writer, and the floor is yours. Our only rule is that we demand quality.
If writing is your thing, why not consider submitting something to them?
Regards author interviews, I am totally thrilled to be a Puffin Review author interviewee. If you want to know what my writing desk looks like or what I do when I’m stuck (yes, I do get stuck!), do go and check out Interview with Marianne Wheelaghan.
As for book reviews, recent reviews include The Unknown Bridesmaid by Margaret Forster and Kate Atkinson’s Life after Life – and, yes, reviews of The Blue Suitcase and Food of Ghosts are coming soon! If you’ve not checked out The Puffin Review, why not do so now? And once you’ve checked it out, why not get back to me and let me know what you think?
Hi
How do we submit for the Puffin Review?
Thanks
Lorna

Hi Marianne,
I really enjoyed reading the interview with you. Your desk is so tidy! I really enjoyed the quotes too.
Best wishes, Kendra
Thanks, Kendra. I did have a bit of a tidy up before I took that photo, but it didn’t last too long! I’m a sucker for quotes. Interestingly enough I have recently discovered I use a lot of quotes by male writers, yet there are as many good quotes by women writers, although you seem to have to dig a little deeper to find them. So, now, I am digging deeper! Thanks again. Looking forward to seeing you being interviewed in the not too distant future:o)
Hi Marianne,
Ha ha, that would be great wouldn’t it? I will definitely try submitting to them anyway, and who knows, maybe someday… 😉
I know I have some good quotes by women writers, I will have a search through and send some to you.
Hey Kendra,
yes please, I always love good quotes and even more so by women writers 🙂 And DO submit to The Puffin Review – either an article or a story. It’s a great new review an an opportunity to see your writing published. Nothing ventured etc 🙂
