Let’s Celebrate Libraries!

There is masses going on this week in Edinburgh Libraries, so if you live in and around Edinburgh, do check these events out. There really is something for everyone  including my author events at Ratho and Stockbridge Libraries ;o)

Porty Poetry Bash (4th October)
An open mic National Poetry Day bash. Inky Fingers takes over Portobello Library with its wild poetic energy and supportive platform for new writers! Details on theinkyfingers blog

Marianne Wheelaghan
The author of ‘The blue suitcase‘ will be at Stockbridge Library at 7pm on Wednesday 3rd and Ratho Library on Thursday 4th from 6.30 to talk about her remarkable novel.

Portobello Book Festival
Portobello Library is the lead venue for the festival, whose line up includes Chris Brookmyre, Denise Mina and James Robertson

    Wow, lot’s going on! I wish we had as many events at our local libraries here in NC! I keep hearing about Denise Mina and have been meaning to check out her books (as well as Food of Ghosts, of course!). Congratulations on all the readings, Marianne!

      thanks for comment, Louisa. We’re really spoiled for choice here 🙂 I like Denise Mina’s writing. Her most recent book, The End of The Wasp Season, is on my bedside table waiting to be read. She’s a really diverse writer. She’s just written, or is just finishing writing, a graphic novel version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo!
