books on the beach …

My holiday is over and I am back in Edinburgh but I have to tell you about this great library I came across just before I left! Yep, I kid you not, there’s a library on the beach at Chatelaillon-Plage! Vive la France! 🙂

Anyone else found a library in an unexpected place?

Finally, if you’ve been following the blog, you’ll know that as a thank you to the people who stop by and leave a comment,  each month I put your names in a hat and one lucky person wins a copy of my latest book. For the month of July the winner is Sue Bagley! Well done, Sue!  If you send me your postal address, I’ll send you a signed copy of The Blue Suitcase 🙂

Thank you! Back from holiday and the book was waiting for me. I read it on my Kindle while I was away and thought it was excellent. I’ve often wondered what it was like for the ‘ordinary’ Germans during the war. Fantastic read, I couldn’t put it down.
    Thanks again!

And I am so glad you enjoyed The Blue Suitcase! A big thanks for letting me know. It really makes a difference to know that people find the book interesting and ‘get’ what it was like for people like my mum and other ordinary Germans to live then.
