Purple Crow Books is a wonderful independent book shop in Hillsborough, North Carolina in the US, who are now stocking The Blue Suitcase! Woo hoo! Purple Crow Books is more than a book shop, it’s a literary meeting place where you can find new and used books and which specializes in promoting local authors. Being a Scottish writer, I feel especially privileged that Purple Crow Books is now stocking The Blue Suitcase!
Where do you buy your books – do you use the Independent shops or a chain, or go online? Does it bother you that Independent shops in the UK and US are struggling to survive, or do you think the Independents need to offer more in order to compete? And finally, what would your “dream” book shop be like – what would your top three must haves be (after books!), and what would your top three must not haves be?
