A big thanks to all who left a comment about the book covers for the new novel (Red) Food of Ghosts, which is set in Kiribati. We had brilliant feedback and it’ll be no surprise to those of you who read/made the comments, that the darker, more sombre cover was the runaway favourite. We’re making modifications now and will reveal the final cover shortly. Meanwhile, the names of all those who made a comment went into a hat last night and the lucky winner is Jonathan Foley! Well done, Jonathan! We’ll be posting Jonathan his copy of  The Blue Suitcase today (he’s just sent me his address!). Thanks again, everyone.

And if you didn’t win a copy of The Blue Suitcase this time, don’t worry! More giveaways are coming up – including, as we get nearer to the launch date in October,  preview copies of  Food of Ghosts!

Happy first of June!

PS A big thanks also to the wonderful photographer, Tony Whincup, for use of his photos. Click on the link to see more of his brilliant photography.

Hi those are lovely photos. I couldn’t open the two possible covers yesterday. Not sure why but I am glad you have got a suitable one. looking forward to reading the book.

Hi Shirley, lovely to hear from you here. Thanks for encouragement. Yes, we’ve definitely gone for the more sombre colours and we’re reworking the dagger at the moment. Having second thoughts about the title now – ha! It’s enough to drive you to drink! Thanks again:)

    Hi Marianne
Never saw the voting thing ’til too late – I did vote but you’d already picked the winner. Can’t wait to read it…
    Love Emily

Thanks, Emily. Good to know we’re on the right track! There’s actually a competition on for this month for all comments posted between 15th and 30th June! So, your name is in the hat for that competition! Winner announced on the 30th 🙂
